Canadian Futura Rewards Discontinues, Mail In Tally Sheets ASAP

futuraAfter almost 2 years of me col­lect­ing upc-barcodes cut from the pack­ages of many prod­ucts, mostly includ­ing Pam­pers and Reach, Futura Rewards has decided to dis­con­tinue there mail-in tally sheet and gro­cery pro­gram. I know there is a lot of Smart Canuck­ers that col­lect and trade them in the trad­ing sec­tion that will be affected but this change. So trade the last of your upc’s fast so that the ones col­lect­ing can have there tally sheet mailed in by Octo­ber 15th for the last time.

    THANK YOU!!! I for­got I had a bag full of UPC’s to mail in! and I had no idea the pro­gram was end­ing! You;d think they’d let their cus­tomers know sheesh! Glad my next credit state­ment gives me enough for the big cash out! =-)

    We wish to inform you that as of Octo­ber 1, 2010 you will no longer be able to earn Futura Rewards using the mail-in/tally chart or gro­cery program.

    Con­tinue to earn Futura Rewards using other pop­u­lar pro­grams includ­ing our in-store mer­chants, online shop­ping mall, Futura Rewards Mas­ter­Card Credit Card and more.

    MUST BE POST MARKED BY OCT 15th

    The tally sheet says that they must have your tally sheet by Oct 15 not post­marked by then.

    Wow, this is really too bad! This was a great way to put money aside for my son’s edu­ca­tion. I am going to have to raid every­one I know’s homes for bar­codes and maybe pick up a few things to put in my panty for the time being. Thank you for the heads up!!!

    Has any­one col­lected money from Futura?

    I wanted to cash out $750 last May and sent in my request. I called them late June and they told me that they would be doing a cheque run in August. So far nada!!

    I, too am dis­grun­tled to find out that the tally sheet mail in has ended with no noti­fi­ca­tion.
    My real beef how­ever, is wait­ing for my $100 rebate cheque since Feb­ru­ary.
    Bet­ter Busi­ness Bureau here I come!

    I have been wait­ing for a cash pay­out from Futura for almost 2 years even after call­ing sev­eral times com­plain­ing about how long it was tak­ing. They had promised on sev­eral occa­sions to expe­dite my pay­ment. I just called again and they told me that I will have to wait at least until Feb 2011. The delay is appar­ently due to com­puter sys­tem prob­lems that required an audit of all indi­vid­ual client accounts.

    the futura pro­gram has all the hall­marks of a scam or pyra­mid scheme. Absolutely impos­si­ble to cash out. The excuses around com­puter sys­tem prob­lem have been used for years. Only with sig­nif­i­cant per­sua­sion — BBB or lawyers are pay­ments moved to the front of the line. I would stay away from this pro­gram. It is not worth the grief

    I too saved for years sav­ing bar­codes etc and send­ing them in, only to find that when I requested a pay­out, no cheque came my way and when I’ve tried to log back in to find out why, my account is no longer valid. Scam is the word peo­ple. So much for sav­ing for your kids futures, it would have done them bet­ter for me to just recy­cle the paper.
