After almost 2 years of me collecting upc-barcodes cut from the packages of many products, mostly including Pampers and Reach, Futura Rewards has decided to discontinue there mail-in tally sheet and grocery program. I know there is a lot of Smart Canuckers that collect and trade them in the trading section that will be affected but this change. So trade the last of your upc’s fast so that the ones collecting can have there tally sheet mailed in by October 15th for the last time.

THANK YOU!!! I forgot I had a bag full of UPC’s to mail in! and I had no idea the program was ending! You;d think they’d let their customers know sheesh! Glad my next credit statement gives me enough for the big cash out! =-)

The tally sheet says that they must have your tally sheet by Oct 15 not postmarked by then.

Wow, this is really too bad! This was a great way to put money aside for my son’s education. I am going to have to raid everyone I know’s homes for barcodes and maybe pick up a few things to put in my panty for the time being. Thank you for the heads up!!!

Has anyone collected money from Futura?
I wanted to cash out $750 last May and sent in my request. I called them late June and they told me that they would be doing a cheque run in August. So far nada!!
I, too am disgruntled to find out that the tally sheet mail in has ended with no notification.
My real beef however, is waiting for my $100 rebate cheque since February.

I have been waiting for a cash payout from Futura for almost 2 years even after calling several times complaining about how long it was taking. They had promised on several occasions to expedite my payment. I just called again and they told me that I will have to wait at least until Feb 2011. The delay is apparently due to computer system problems that required an audit of all individual client accounts.
the futura program has all the hallmarks of a scam or pyramid scheme. Absolutely impossible to cash out. The excuses around computer system problem have been used for years. Only with significant persuasion – BBB or lawyers are payments moved to the front of the line. I would stay away from this program. It is not worth the grief
I too saved for years saving barcodes etc and sending them in, only to find that when I requested a payout, no cheque came my way and when I’ve tried to log back in to find out why, my account is no longer valid. Scam is the word people. So much for saving for your kids futures, it would have done them better for me to just recycle the paper.
