According to Bloomberg and Pando, Birchbox has decided to pause operations in Canada, mostly due to the high cost of shipping but also a lack of Canadian investors.
They have no mention of this on their website and are still taking Canadian subscriptions. I have seen it advertised as the perfect Valentine’s Day gift so if you were considering it, you may want to hold off until any official announcement. The Pando article does have a quote from the CEO confirming the Canadian news, so it is disappointing that there is no information for Canadians with subscriptions.
