Starting today, October 10th 2014, Canadian Tire has announced that their famous Canadian Tire Money perk has gone digital!
I find this news just perfect since I often lose my Canadian Tire money in the console of my car or it gets tossed with the grocery bags 🙁 Keeping track of and redeeming your Canadian Tire will be so simple now!
The new Canadian Tire loyalty program is called My Canadian Tire Money. Nova Scotia is the first province to reap the benefits of this new Canadian Tire offer. Nova Scotia can start digitally redeeming their Canadian Tire money today while the rest of Canada will have to wait until October 28th, 2014.
Don’t worry though, this does not void the Paper Canadian Tire money that you have laying around! You can still use your Paper Canadian Tire money on your purchase at your favourite Canadian Tire location.
To start using My Canadian Tire Money you will need to download the Canadian Tire mobile app. Keep in mind that you will also earn 10x the Canadian Tire Money when you pay for your purchases with your Canadian Tire MasterCard. With this app you also won’t need to keep track of your paper receipts anymore – which in turn will make returns a lot easier.
Your Digital Canadian Tire Money will have no expiry date either 🙂

Great, sadly I never pay cash as finding a receipt for an item that I wish to return among the stack of them (I even keep my CT receipts separate) is nearly impossible so I have them look at my credit card. Sometimes I can’t even match the description on the receipt to the item unless I have the product number which is what they go by.
I would love to see them get on par with HD and other that email receipts as I lose far more money not being able to return items than I ever gain on CT money.
