Wind Mobile Canada is changing up their terms of service to better suit those of you who have your eyes set on more expensive phones but would still like to keep your cell phone bill from reaching into astronomical monthly fees. They have done this by creating more strict limits on your monthly data, but by decreasing the cost of each monthly package with the most expensive package (the $60/month) being decreased to just $50/month.
Wind has changed the data limits for each monthly package to incentivize you to purchase the $50 package, as it offers the most at 10GB per month for just $50 while the other packages will provide you with the following:
- $35/month – 2GB
- $40/month – 3GB
- $45/month – 5GB
- $50/month – 10GB
You will be allowed to add on an additional 10GB/month for an additional $10/month on the new Wind plan, which means that the maximum data you will be permitted on your Wind server will be 20GB/month (if you are on the $50/month plan). To finance your new phone, Wind is also allowing you to pay for your phone in $25/$15/$5 instalments, with the $25/month option giving you a maximum credit of $650, and the other options providing you with $450 and $250 respectively.
These new pricing plans will come into effect on April 9th, which is convenient as the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will also be launching this Friday at Wind Mobile.

Porter Airlines Canada has begun another one of their seat sales, that will wash away your winter time blues with these fresh spring savings where you can save up to 40% off the base fares when you enter the subscriber promo code, W56FMY, at the checkout. Without the promo code, you will be able to save up to 30% off on base fares.
If you are using the extra 10% off promotional code, then you will have to book your travel dates for before June 24th, 2015 (without the code you can book your travel for up to August 24th). You must, however, have booked your itinerary for before April 9th at 11:59pm EST and you will not be permitted to travel from May 14th-May 19th.
Using this promo code, I was able to find some relatively hot flight deals on locations to both Montreal and Halifax for the end of June flying out of the Billy Bishop City Centre Airpot in Toronto. The one-way fare ticket to Halifax was just $184, while a roundtrip ticket from Toronto to Montreal was just $284.

VIA Rail Canada has brought back their weekly discounted Tuesday fares, where everyone, even if you’re sleeper class, can save on Escape fares. You must book your tickets before 11:59pm EST tonight to qualify for the discounts, and if you’re travelling in Economy class seats then you must book your dates of travel for between:
- April 8th-14th, if you’re travelling within the Quebec City-Windsor corridor
- or April 8th-May 5th, if you’re travelling on long-haul trips
Within the Sleeper class seats, you can save up to 50% off within the VIA Rail discount Tuesday sale, with select one-way routes costing as little as $179. You can even get a one-way Sleeper class ticket from Halifax to Quebec City for just $201.50, though it would normally cost you $403.
This sale will only be available until midnight tonight, and the last date to travel within the Sleeper Class sale will be May 18th.

This week, Xbox Live Canada is initiating their spring sale prices on select Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. Within the Xbox 360 game sale, there are 45 different discounts available that have a combined saving of $460 for non-Gold members, with an extra $60 in combined savings if you are a Gold member. This members exclusive from Starbucks Canada Rewards program is just the kind of deal that will get you trying out some of Starbucks new tea offerings for the spring. Right now, when you use your registered Starbucks card to buy any tea latte (hot or cold), you will receive a specified number of bonus stars that will be predetermined by the frequency with which you use your Starbucks card.
For instance, I received an e-mail from Starbucks Rewards program alerting me to the offer on tea lattes, and it stated that I will receive 4 bonus stars (meaning a total of 5 stars for one purchase) when I buy any tea latte between now and April 13th. Other members have stated that they received e-mails informing them that they could receive up to 6 bonus stars, while others were only 2 bonus stars. Either way, if you buy a tea latte between now and April 13th, and it can be any size or any kind, you will probably be receiving bonus stars.
Considering that it only take 12 stars to earn a free drink or food item when you are at Gold card status, this means that you could buy 3 tea lattes within the promotional period (or less, depending on the number of bonus stars you are being rewarded with each purchase) and your fourth drink or food purchase will be free.
You can use this offer as many times as you like within the set out promotional time period, and it will sometimes take up to 24 hours for your stars to be loaded onto your card.

Sport Chek Canada has a number of hot deals on this week, where you can save up to 50% off on a new pair of running sneakers within their footwear door crasher sale, or up to 40% off on some new workout apparel in their apparel door crasher sale. While the apparel door crasher sale will be available for an unspecified amount of time, the footwear sale will only be valid until April 20th, but that doesn’t guarantee that the size and selection will remain available until then as well.

The third pair must of course be of equal or lesser value to the first two, but when someone offers you something for free, you really can’t complain.

Walmart Canada is having a massive clearance sale on their MobiGo Learning System Software Cartridges, which are designed to be played on your child’s VTech MobiGo Touch Learning System. These games are meant for your children to play on a system that mocks parents’ own pieces of technology, but instead the games that your child plays on the system will help keep them engaged as they learn about colours, shapes, math and more from some of their favourite cartoon and Disney characters.
A lot of the MobiGo cartridges in this Walmart clearance sale are already running low on stock, with select games even being sold out online. This is probably because most of the games are selling for between $10-$15, where they usually retail for anywhere between $23-$26.

Lululemon Canada’s We Made Too Much Sale is what most would describe as being a double-edged sword, as the discounts that they offer in this sale are tremendous (especially when you take into consideration what their work-out gear usually retails for), but the catch is that you cannot return or exchange your purchase should you be dissatisfied with it for any reason. This can be a pretty big risk to take, seeing as all of the sales are only available online and you won’t have a chance to try on the product before purchasing. That being said, if you are confident in your size and fit at Lululemon, and you are also thorough when you read through the reviews, you could really stand to save big in their We Made Too Much Sale.
While there is only one size left in this style, if you are a size ten (or know someone who is), then this sale on the Forme Jacket from Lululemon could be a really good deal for you, or your friend. The Forme Jacket is normally sold for $108, but is now on sale for just $59.
What I really like about this jacket from Lululemon is that it includes the neat little add-on of foldover cuffins which you can pullover your hands to stay warmer on days where you may have left your gloves and mitts at home.
Another great find from the Lululemon sale were these yogini trouser pants, which are on sale right now for between $69-$79, though they were regularly being sold for $118. The black pair are the more expensive pants, while the dark wren and the nightfall colour are now just $69. What I really enjoy about these particular trousers from Lululemon was their laid-back appeal that can easily transition from a post-yoga look to something that you could even wear with a funky top and sporty shoes on a Saturday afternoon shopping trip.
