When you buy any toy or book at Chapters online you will receive a “Swipe it twice” gift card worth from $5 to $5000. Then, bring that card into any Indigo or Chapters store between Nov 16–24, spend $50 or more and get your card swiped to see what value it is, it can be $5, $10, $25, $100 or $2,500. Bring in the gift card a second time before Dec 24th to reveal an even higher surprise of $10, $20, $50, $200 or $5,000!

Sounds like a good deal to me, however keep in mind you do have to spend $50 each time to reveal your surprise, and odds are it will be $5 and then $10 the second time.

Yeah, I used to work for Coles (who are apart of chapters) and all I ever saw were $5 off gift cards. But if you are planning on buying books anyway its a good deal. Five bucks is five bucks!

too bad, there is a game i want for $50 but not a single store has it in stock.

We found one of these cards in-store yesterday. but we had other discounts to use so we couldn’t use it for that. But we have a lot of readers on our shopping list so this will come in useful.

psh that sucks, friday I spent 49.21 with taxes and free shipping online.

    Little miffed but oh well.

If you shop $30 or more in store this weekend, you will get the chance to use a magic discount barcode, which can save you from 5%-to 100% off your purchase.

EvilKitten, don’t be miffed. you’ll get a card in the mail when your books ship for use next time. Anyway, the books online are a LOT cheaper than in store!!! I don’t even know if this is that great a deal because you save usually more than $5 online.

grumpy is right. the books are far cheaper online. maybe if you get to the cash register in store, and you don’t like the coupon value, just leave the books, go home, and buy it online for cheaper.

I wont’ be shopping at Chapters ever again.

They tried to defy the holiday laws in Nova Scotia and were going to open their stores on Remembrance Day.

After much bad publicity, they changed their minds.

I couldn’t care less if they wanted to open on Victoria Day or some other similar type of holiday, but I hold Remembrance Day as being pretty sacred.

Thousands of Canadians lost their lives trying to liberate Heather Reisman’s people, and it shocks me that she shows such little respect and gratitude to those who not only lost their lives in WW1 and WW2, but continue to do so elsewhere (Afghanistan, Rawanda, Bosnia, etc).

    Shame on her and Chapters!
