This little deal from Cineplex Canada is one that you should bear in mind on those sweltering summer days, as not only is it money saving, but it will also provide you with complimentary A/C for 2 hours.
In case you weren’t aware, every Tuesday at Cineplex Theatres you can get movie tickets for a reduced price, both for general admission and 3D movies!
If you’re buying a general admission ticket on Tuesday, it will just cost you $6.99, whether you’re a junior or an adult, just one flat fee. Normally, these tickets cost anywhere between $7.99-$11.50. If you’re buying tickets for a 3D movie, the tickets will also only be one flat rate, but it will be $9.99 (reg. $10.99-$14.50).
SCENE Members will also qualify for receiving an additional 10% off on their regular Tuesday admission prices, including the premium performances (e.g. IMAX , 3D, VIP, UltraAVX).

Well, Cineplex raised the price yet again! Just last month or so, it was $5.99 for a Tuesday Movie, now in my home town (Ajax), it’s $6.50!!! I remember a while back when it was $4.99 so $4.50 with Scene. Landmark is definitely looking a lot more tempting now than ever before. Where I am for school (St.Catharines), it’s $5.99 for Tuesday, so almost the same price now! Haven’t gone to Cineplex a lot recently, mainly because of the price increases, snack increases, decreases in sizing portions and no longer offering free refills on large pop and popcorn.
I’m not sure where this alleged promo is advertised, but it is definitely regional based. Between the three theatres (all Cineplex) in my area, one is $5.99 on tuesdays… one is $6.99 (and has been for at least the past several months, this promo has no bearing) and the other is $7.99… and was tonight when I was pricing tickets for a show tonight. (and lo and behold, it’s Tuesday)
“Enhanced” viewings (3D or AVX, or combination thereof) vary as well. I just paid $11.99 for an AVX presentation. (before my Scene discount, which brought it down to $10.78). So I can attest that these prices are NOT across all of Cineplex locations.
