TD Bank Canada Trust Free iPod

Some rumours have been surfacing on in the forum, mentioning that TD Bank will soon and once again offer a free iPod shuffle or nano if you transfer your account from another bank to theirs’.

I couldn’t verify this news, but considering the huge success of this event last year and the year before, I wouldn’t be surprised if TD Bank offer this promo again. If anyone works at TD Bank and gets more info please let me know and I will post it here.

If you want to prepare for this event, first step is to open an account at another bank. PC Financial is a good choice since they offer accounts with no annual fees.

Here is the information from last years’ event

    That really sucks for a friend of mine. She needed a new bank the other day, and I recommended the TD. I’m not with them myself, but I’ve heard nothing but good things from my friends who are with them, and I suggested she might try to score an iPod if they had an offer on. They didn’t, but she switched to them anyways.

    Anybody think she should raise a stink about it if the offer does happen?

    She can just open another bank account at another bank and then move it over. No harm done.

    They won’t allow that — what you have to do is transer your bank account from another bank over to theirs in order to get the ipod (then pay all their high monthly fees).

    Just so you know — There “NO MONTHLY FEES” account allows to only make 2 transactions a month and then you pay even more for the rest — I know this because my best friend HAD to get an account with them because her new job only makes deposits into TD so she gets two deposits a month and just uses her two transactions a month to take the money out.

    I’ve tried Royal, BMO and Td bank. TD always gives me a hassle. I use BMO for my banking, they dont hold my cheques and I can pay my TD student loan from their ATMs.

    Yeah I agree, I have an account with BMO and Royal and they are super nice — in fact Royal no longer charges me any banking fees as I have mutual funds with them and such — you ask and you shall recieve — my friend tried that with TD — and they basically siad “hell no” … I am non TD lover .… lol
    p.s. my first message really doesn’t make sense.…as I did not fully read sids and am arguing for no reason :-{

    Been with all the major banks and have excellent credit and I have to say TD is far better than the other ones. CIBC has stupid rules and Royal has reps who don’t know anything. You get stuff free from TD if you are a good customer. Depends who you ask. Customer service is way better.
