You can’t mix cards with Canadian currencies and USD currencies, but you can keep both types of cards registered and managed on your single account. To manage your cards with USD currencies, simply log in to the American portal (starbucks.com) instead of starbucks.ca. I have been doing this for years. This way you can earn stars with purchases made on USD cards.
The other option is to use the usd gc to buy a Canadian gift card and the. Load this onto your account. That’s what I usually do.
I have a question, so now how do I use the usd ecard when at stores or is it only for online purchases?
Thanks for the tip Jillyfree! I took the egiftcard printout with the bar code into a Starbucks and had no problem at all buying a C$ gift card that I can now transfer to my regular account or give to someone.
