Ok, so it’s not a joke that Scott Weiland is performing for free on August 29th at The Bay. Whats a joke to me is that hes representing not only English Laundry but the fact that he hasn’t gotten the memo that smoking hasn’t been cool since the 90’s. It’s kind of all a trainwreck. While I’m glad that Scotts off the heroin (?) I still would never have him represent my company. What are your thoughts? Do you think his ciggy butt looks uber cool? I’ve had this in my email all day and toyed with posting this or not haha.

That’s really great that Scott is doing a free show. Too bad it was not on the West Coasr to check out. The smoke looks great in the ad, not often enough you see that these days. Sadly certain individuals are pushing Hollywood to cut smoking scenes from film. Well… cigarette/cigar smoking is decreasing, but marijuana use in tv and film, contine to climb. LOL!!!

The Cig doesn’t bother me, it is EL campaign, they can do as they wish, I don’t find it offensive.
Great that he is preforming for free. He’s in town for the STP concert at the ACC on Sunday — nice to provide the freebee.

And if people want to kill themselves smoking, they should totally be free to do so, as long as they are willing to go to a user pay system when they get cancer
Scott Weiland is one of the best artists of all time. Love STP, love Velvet Revolver, and yes he may have had a drug problem, but for someone who had that many addictions and to still have had an amazing career with 2 fantastic bands, my hats off to him. He is a great talent and I hope to continue to hear many great things from him in the future.
And as far as Enigish Laundry goes I guess their campaign is working perfectly considering how many of us are talking about it on SC.

As for the add, I feel
the image of smoking is not a good one to send to those who are impressionable, but it is characteristic of Scott Weiland is.
I loved STP — Solo Scott is cool too (have only heard one song so far)
I don’t know who Scott is, let me say that first.
When it comes to cigarettes– in reality, they’re disgusting, but in art, I don’t know…they’re used to add that gritty, low-life kinda feel, and I think it works.
