For anyone who does not know what Netwinner is, its a free game site where you can earn free gift cards.  I joined awhile ago skeptical about actually getting paid out but I am pleased to say that I just submitted for my first $25 MasterCard gift card so it does work.   And since I know for sure that it works, I figured I would post the details here on the blog for our readers so you can start earning some gift cards as well.  :)
How Netwinner works is you sign up (and receive 1000 bonus points for doing so) then you simply play the game until you hit 25,000 points - once you reach 25, 000 points you just submit your claim for your gift card.  At first I thought 25,000 points was one heck of a lot and that I’d never get my gift card, but I actually got the points pretty quickly — I joined in May and claimed a $25 card at the start of October. 
Here are some details about how Netwinner works from their site: “After registration, you can begin winning! Pick 4 two digit numbers and 1 one digit bonus number and click the WIN!!! button. The game automatically checks your picks against all 9 simultaneous ways to win and immediately notifies if you won. Win cash or points and it’s always FREE TO PLAY.“  I always use the quick pick button when I play since its faster, but you can also select your own numbers if you want.
Netwinner also has instant win prizes (i.e. instant win of a $25 gift card) that some people on our forum have won. So overall its definitely worth signing up for.  Even if you only make a couple spins a day/week your not out anything since its free and your points will keep adding up. Of course the more you spin, the more you win and the quicker you’ll receive a free gift card!

Netwinner is truely a horrible site! It goes sooo slow (and no I dont have a slow computer), they do this on purpose so you win less. It use to go fast, they use to give out bonuses, and give you 10% on every player that signs up under you. They refuse to give you the 10% unless the player verifies… and they rarely do, so netwinner pockets your 10%.
If you like to sit mindlessly on your computer for 8–10 hours a day for about 25–50 dollars a month… well then do it.
And believe me, some people do on that site, and think they’re getting a good deal…

Sorry to hear your netwinner experiences have not been positive — personally I am quite impressed with the site, its one of the first I’ve found that actually pays out. And I am definitely NOT someone who sits mindlessly on my computer 8–10 hours a day — I’m lucky if I get an hour a day online once I get home from school and finish doing my lesson plans for the next day (and I have still managed to get enough points to get a gift card). Often when I am online doing other things I open netwinner in a second tab and just jump between the windows.
As for the speed netwinner is a heavy graphics site and is probably better with high speed connections. I run Rogers Extreme and have never had the site go slow.
I have hi-speed internet as well, and the site does not load slowly. But I do agree that the “spin” and revealing of the numbers is intentionally slowed down to limit the number of spins. I joined a while back, and have been accumulating points, but this site is just not for me. I’m sure it works, but I can’t really “get into it” to visit with any regularity.

Netwinner as of may 12th 2008 canceled all redmeptions and returned double the points back so you can play in raffles that no-one seems to win. They accuse anyone who complains as a cheater. The North Carolina BBB has issued a warning about them. There is so much more of what they have done as well. If you would have the optin of turning off the videos on the right so i could stop getting booted and losing my games it would be great!!! I run on dial-up (only option I have) and it is very hard to play alot of the time because of those videos. I dont understand how you can run out of calls on banko when you are only at 30 called and then sometimes at 45 or 60?
This site is definately a scam.…As soon as you get remotely close to winning anything conveniently YOU’VE RUN OUT OF CALLS FOR THIS GAME.…pffft…ya ok!!!! So click play again oh whats this same pattern as last game and miraculously you’ve made it 56 calls instead of 39…hmmmmm, came close to winning 250.00 but oh I ran out of calls!! Just make it so you get the same amount of calls for each friggen game instead of making it so no one can win aything decent!!!!! I know it’s a free site but comon it’s highly unfair to screw around with our hopes on even winning more than an entry for a draw that will never happen anyways. Draws that should have taken place last month say not drawn yet, what’s up with that?

Net Winner sucks. I have been playing this for 1 1/2 years, and I never won a thing. I think it is a pile of shit. It is a company making money off other companies for advertising there product. But no winners for Canadians. I sure don’t believe there are winners.
