I was just checking my emails and starting this Sunday (September 27th) The Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports is dropping in price to a much lower $219.99! A great time to pick one up for the kids or yourself!
Toys R Us is selling them at this price online or in store and of course I’m assumming you can price match at Best Buy and Future shop as well. Click here to check out Toysrus Canada

My flyer is the Sept 25-Oct 1 $279.99 and I’ve now gotten the price off http://www.toyrus.ca but my flyer has a Get a $10 toyrus gift card with any Wii console purchase to be spent next time you shop. Available insore only while quanaties last no rainchecks. I’m sending a friend in sunday to see if she gets that as well. Might as well try. We already have a Wii from last year yikes

Like I know its real because I got the email and its on their front page but its wack advertising both lol.

My flyer and computer also says $279.99… but there’s a banner at the top of the page that advertises the $219 price… yet when I click on it, it just sends me to a page saying that it’s $279!?! That’s how I found this site, because I googled “$219.99 Wii” trying to make sense of it and to see if I could find out any more info! I suppose I should just call them and find out what the situation is…

@Cybro: Not a new Wii but a new Wii Fit Plus coming out… that, I believe is selling for $79, less than the current Wii Fit game w/balance board.

The new $219.95 Wii price point delivers the full iconic Wii gaming experience, including the motion-sensing Wii Remote?controller, Nunchuk?controller and Wii Sports?software, and furthers Nintendo’s mission to expand the gaming universe by making video games accessible to more and more consumers.”
Only suggested retail price. So they don’t really have to sell it at that price. Also, for those of u who often cross the border, the US is selling at $199.99 US. Might save a few dollar if the exchange rate is good.

Yes as of Today Sunday the Wii is now 219, BUT this weekend at Zellers you can get it for 199.99 if you buy any game or accesory.
Its definetely 219 tommorow (its Sunday here now) price drop!
Im assuming the site was set up not to display the 219 price until Sunday (today)
In fact it seems most stores are following suit and have now as of today (Sunday) adjusted the price.
Walmart canada has it posted for 209

I bought it at walmart last week and they priced matched it today (sunday) saving me $44!! Now I see walmart has it posted for $209, oh well, I’m still pleased I got for that price. It’s for chrismas!
