Real Canadian Superstore & Loblaws Stores Are Tax-Free September 5-6th (ON only).

This event is going on at ALL locations in Ontario!

Keep in mind these stores carry items such as furniture, clothing, electronics and more so TAX FREE is a really great deal! Now would be a great time to buy a few birthday or Christmas presents in advance and save yourself some money!

This would be a good time to use up some FPCs that you would normally have to pay taxes on :)

Anyone with a PC Financial Account can really rack up the bargains and use their PC Points for this too!

Probably because of the mix of items you purchased.
I noticed some time ago that Loblaws labels identify items that are taxed on their shelf labels. Hit the General Merchandise, paper products pet supplies, back to school supplies etc.

I usually hit the store at dinner time (5–6 pm) when most people are at home having dinner.

So what items would be tax-free? I don;t suppose everything is tax free.…
What should be our “strategy” be getting the most out of this?

  7. JSAMs_Mom

Food is (mostly) tax exempt, so tax free would apply to electronics, games, toys, clothing, toiletries, etc.

Hey so I need to know how much the school supplies will cost without the taxes on them. I need them all like pencils, sharpeners, pencil crayons, luchbags, backpacks, etc. So PLEASE tell me.lol

Superstore is also no tax Sept 5 & 6 in BC, posted all over the store today

Like what Blongpolack said, there is no tax in superstores in BC… atleast Im sure of the one at Metrotown is doing that, HOWEVER, the sign says that its no tax on ALMOST everything… so NOT EVERYTHING is tax free.

Hope that helps.. and happy shopping!

I used for rogers pre-paid cellphone card. $100 air time valid for a whole year. Now save $13 in tax (ON).
