Usually for these promos Superstore does not actually require the coupon. If you spend the requisite amount they just hand over the free product. As someone who does regular groceries at my local superstore every week, I find these promotions stupid and wasteful. The gift cards make the most sense– at least it will force you to come back AnD you can use to buy anything you might need. When they have the promo for the gift card I actually strive to meet the dollar requirment any other time I met it and they weren’t offering the gift card it was just coincidence.

The first one I got that wasn’t a gift card was a coupon to buy a big box of ribs for $10– I refused it outright since I don’t eat pork, and told them what a stupid promo it was. Then I got a free crate of strawberries and blueberries which I gladly took in hopes that I would use them, but of course most went to waste. I anticipate a lot of people just taking this free turkey even though they don’t need it and having it go to waste. Come on Superstore! Smarten up!

Catherine, I agree with the point that the cards make the most sense because it makes you go back into the store …
but i guess they need to change it up every so often

if you’d like, i’ll take your free turkey :D

Seriously $200 on groceries is too much…With a family of 4, we cant even read $100 a week on groceries.

I wish I knew that yesterday — I spent close to $240 on groceries. I could have waited until tomorrow or saturday for the free turkey! :(

it would be nice if this offer was available at the Atlantic Superstore here in Nova Scotia. aren’t the real canadian super store. atlantic super store . loblaws and domioin stores all in the same conglomerant? what makes the real super stores so special over the rest of us?

I should ask them — I need to buy a turkey for Sunday (for Eid dinner with family), might as well try to get it for free.

I had my daughter’s Birthday Party there on Saturday & got the free turkey since the party cost was over $200…
And it’s now in my freezer for Thanksgiving Dinner!

$200 is not a lot of groceries for a family of 4. We spend $1100 p/m including laundry, TP, and we but real food (non-prepared, fresh veggies, fruits, etc). Heck, with the 2 boys (16, 18 4 jugs of milk (4Lrtr) lasat 3 days. Having a free turkey worth $25 is a super deal.
