  1. Got my Tide HE this morning
see if I can get the coupon before next Thursday to get my $1 back 🙂

Also picked up 1 Xbox 360 and 1 PS3 bundle

  2. Alex says:

Walmart closed the Jonquiere Quebec store because the employee’s exercised their legal Canadian right to join a union. Walmart was found by the Quebec Labour Board as being uncredible when it comes to their reason of closing saying that the store was losing money.
Why should we support a company that disrespects Canadians and Canadian law? I won’t support a company like that.

  3. Unrehearsed says:

I saved $15+ with Brand Saver Coupons, other save.ca coupons and the Wal-Mart Sales! I especially enjoyed the flyer price of the Happy Feet DVD for $9.83!

  4. Socialiste says:

Alex, you’re so right about it. Here’s another way so see this: The high cost of low prices. Ecological, Economical, Human cost for low prices.

  5. frugiedh says:

I agree with Alex and Socialiste. I have not shopped at Walmart for so long. I absolutely HATE to go in the 2 stores near us. I find their employees are just so unhappy and it seems like such a terrible working environment- noisy, messy, chaotic. I think they need to invest in and have more concern for, their employees. There are other places to shop like my local Shoppers which has the most awesome employees.
BUT it took alot of time to MissScrooge and Cookoo to produce that list above and I love that kind of info so THANK YOU!!! I just won’t be using it at Walmart.

  6. Alex says:

It is also interesting that Walmart can afford to compensate their president Lee Scott tens of millions in a single year, yet feels it is necessary to nickle and dime the already low income workers, just so they can support their business plan. Walmart has a very poor reputation, that it has earned by its actions.
