The much anticipated game from Nintendo, Spaltoon for Wii U, is set to be released in North America on Friday, May 29th, with many retailers selling the game for an average pre-order price of $69.99. After looking at this week’s flyer from Shoppers Drug Mart Canada, I noticed that they will be selling the same game, starting on Saturday, May 30th, for just $59.99.

Every other retailer I checked (Best Buy, Chapters Indigo, Walmart and Amazon.com) were selling Splatoon for Wii U for $69.99. Shoppers will not only be selling the game for $10 cheaper, but they will also be offering a 20x the Optimum Points event on Saturday. This means that instead of collecting 600 points on Splatoon (as $60 will provide you 10X the points), you will be getting about 12,000 points. That works out to being worth about $15 to be redeemed in the future, as 22,000 is worth $30 and 8000 points is worth $10, and 12,000 is just about in the middle of those two points.
