Buy two or more gift cards at the same time totalling $150 and get 8000 bonus optimum points between Saturday 10 November and Friday 16 November. I can’t see the details from the flyer, but last year you could do more than one transaction (but only 8000BP added per transaction) and points were added at a later date.

Can you redeem points to buy the cards and get more points?
No, points cant be used to buy gift cards – and you can’t double dip by buying SDM and use them to buy other gift cards

but can you clear one thing, I know we can’t double dip, but is it possible to buy other cards with shopper’s GC, without optimum card. I think we can’t get regular points for other gc, so if can use other cards buy shoppers gc we can get regular point for shoppers card at least. never do this so can some clear it if has some experience.
its up to individual stores if you can use Shoppers GC to buy another GC but most these days wont do it
Is this really such a great bonus? 8000 shoppers points is only worth $10 right? So you spend $150 and get $10…normally shoppers offers $10 shoppers gift cards when you spend only $50 on merchandise so am I missing something here?

Yes it’s worth it. Assuming you pay with an SDM MC, 8000 bp plus extra 2250 (15 pts per dollar on MC). That’s 10250 pts, worth $26.97 on mega redemption day. Almost an 18% return on what you spent.
it is a great deal! For example, if you do 12 transactions of $150 each, you will make 96,000 points, and 95,000 pts is equal to $170, or MORE ($250) on mega redemption day! FREE money! And you are not spending your money on sdm purchases/merchandise, you are spending it on GCs that you can use ANYWHERE! Money that you would have spent anyways on gas, etc….
It’s a great deal but be aware of stealing of balances! I’ve heard of people buying gift cards which end up with zero balances on them because someone out there uses the code. I keep track of all of my GCs just in case!
Good advice, thankfully SDM have added a scratch pin now so its harder to use them fraudulently

You can go to the Shoppers web site to get the info on this promotion. Friday is the last day to get the bonus. You will not see the bonus points added until November 23 but make sure they scan your Optimum card. I didn’t see it in the Ontario flyer either but I did call head office and they did confirm the bonus deal was for the whole country.
