Target Canada and H&M Stores To Carry Plus Size Clothing

Announcements

Target Plus Size Clothing

After many complaints about the lack of extended sizes at Target stores in Canada, they have now announced that all Target stores will be carrying plus size clothing by early 2015.

US Target stores carry plus sizes in several lines including

  • Mossimo
  • Merona
  • C9
  • Pure Energy

As well as occasional special collections made for Target in plus sizes.  Click here to see their US selection of clothing.

The news comes not long after H&M announced that some of their stores will be carrying plus sized clothing too, starting with Vaughn Mills and spreading to more stores later in the year.  Click here to see the H&M+ collection online.

Well, this is good news… so tired of paying 3-4 times as much for plus sized things. Hope the stuff is well made and stylish.

fantastic! hopefully for both men and women. would be nice if they carried tall as well.

Have you noticed that Sears has eliminated tall sizes in their catalogues of late? Reitmans is pretty much it in affordable tall size pants if you like missy (shorter rise, low to mid-waistband) pants. The other end of spectrum is Long Tall Sally-$$$ if you have them or time your shopping to sales.

Glad for Plus sizes coming to Target. Hope any designer capsule collections also consider going beyond XL as well-there are customers who want fun & seasonal fashion and no plaid styles.

    Nice start.
Now all need is online shopping like Walmart and free shipping. Hope this is soon.

On-line shopping and free shipping would indeed grab a lot of customers for Target.

I hope they also begin to carry smaller sizes – sometimes their items only come in a small and it fits too big on me, but no xs is available. It should be available across all clothing.

2jk19 – it doesn’t sound like it, someone else asked about more petites and they said not at this time

Sewing machine-can take in the side seams and if torso is long, can do darts on front and shorten the back length (make a longer tail on the back so it won’t pull out of pants/skirt). Wish I had your size issue-am too tall for regular women’s wear unless we are talking tunics.knitwear with short sleeves.
