Target Canada Register Coupon: 30% Off Monster HDMI Cable

blog

A new sale week has started at Target Canada, and with a new flyer comes a new register coupon. With every purchase at a Target Canada, a coupon will print with your receipt at the register, including the Starbucks registers. For this week, the new register coupon is for 30% off the purchase of any Monster HDMI cable. This coupon is valid until September the 12th, 2014.

Not as fantastic as other recent coupons like the Oasis juice, so here’s hoping for a better coupon next week. Keep in mind that Target register coupons can be combined with manufacturer coupons for additional savings, and that there is a maximum of four of these coupons allowed per transaction.

Honestly, the brand of HDMI cable does not matter. There is NO NEED to pay >$50 for an HDMI cable. The $2 or $3 pair I got from Dollarama has been serving me without fail since I got it a couple years ago.

Monster cables are all high speed cable meeting Hdmi 1.4 standard. If you use ARC or CEC on your AV equipments, you must look for high speed hdmi. Standard Hdmi will not allow 2 way communications for ARC and CEC that many current receivers uses.

With everything, you get what you pay for. As an electronic technician, Monster cables are excellent cables because they use better quality materials like conductors and rubbers thus resistances are lower and durable over time. Even the connector itself is built sturdier than others I have seen, many cheap cable connectors will break apart or rust when you pull them.

That being said, Monster does charges huge premiums over the products and I only buy them when they are on clearance is many large chain stores.

I recommend Belkin as a cheap alternative as I use them on clients system and cost reasonably for a bulk pack.

As an electronic technician you should know better. Monster cable’s or any HDMI cable over $5 is a waste of money. Read Consumer Reports or CNET if you have any questions.

Check out the research done by the show Marketplace to see what a scam Monster is. Even their own representatives can’t justify the exorbitant price other than to say that their brand name inspires confidence in consumers.
