Alexander Wang, the American designer who made a name for himself at the fall 2008 fashions shows as the urban designer of his generation, has launched a collaborative line with H&M Canada for both city men and women. The line’s spectrum ranges from the less practical futuristic pieces, like the bold platform leather boots ($299), to pieces that could be described as everyday athleticism, such as the black knit chino trousers (only $99).
H&M’s previous collaborations have historically proven to be quite successful, gaining names from designers like Stella McCartney in the fall of 2005 and, most recently, in 2013 with Isabel Marant. The collaborations, such as the current Alexander Wang campaign, stand as a testament to H&M’s dedication to delivering fashionable clothes at affordable prices for everyone.
With the current line from H&M and Alexander Wang, fashionable folk who idolize the American designer’s collections on the runway (but don’t necessarily want to sell a kidney to finance it) can now take a piece of his designs home guilt-free and organs-intact.
The Alexander Wang and H&M collaboration is only being offered in select H&M locations across the country. For instance, the Toronto locations include: Yorkdale Mall, 15 Bloor Street West and the Toronto Eaton Centre. The lines to get into the store are however very long! Here’s what the line at Toronto’s Eaton Centre looks like:
However, you may try your luck online, but with the anticipation for this line’s release the high traffic on the site may lead to some difficulties accessing it!

This stuff is imho not very attractive. I cannot believe people spent 24 hours + lined up outside the Eaton Centre to buy it.
H&M doesn’t have a Canadian online store, there’s a US online store but it doesn’t ship to Canada.
Yup no online store that ships to Canada. Also, this stuff is pretty ugly. I don’t want to walk around with WANG all over my clothes
@KM did people really wait 24 hours at the Eaton Centre? I know they have for other designers but I doubt people would line up for this haha
Yes they did line up, as early as 6pm. Wow
Yup. Lots of people and when I went at night there were very few selections left. Somehow I feel like the clothes are meant for people who live in outer space lol.
