Good news for those of you living or shopping in British Columbia, after a successful legal challenge, you can now earn loyalty points on prescriptions again.

On Friday, July 25, the Supreme Court of British Columbia struck down the College of Pharmacists of BC bylaws that, since December 2, 2013, have prohibited pharmacy patients in the province from earning loyalty rewards, including Safeway’s AIR MILES and Club Thrifty Foods Points on non-government funded pharmacy prescriptions.

Safeway Pharmacy’s want to help you make up for points you may have missed since December with 7X Air Miles on your prescription.  There is no end date shown for this offer and hopefully the other pharmacies will have offers for you soon too.
