I saw this brand at Superstore in Calgary panorama/harvest hills. I don’t remember if the packs were the 6 packs or larger but we did consider buying them last week.
    Thanks

You haven’t seen Balderson brand before?! Surprised…I know it well. It’s soooooo good.

  3. Julie says:

Unfortunately it is not made in Balderson anymore. Parmalat bought them out and closed everything, Balderson Cheese is now an art gallery where you can buy ice cream.

So where can we buy them? I love the full size cheeses, but we buy this at Costco … no coupons allowed. I haven’t seen the snack size but would like to get some for dh …

I know that Fortino’s has Balderson cheese.

I have seen this brand at Costco

I seen it last night at Superstore. It was prices at $4.99, so $3 is not a bad deal for these.

  8. Woski says:

    Loblaws has the cheese!

  9. Jason Archibald says:

I love This cheese, but I prefer the 6 year aged over the 2. It is a great deal though. For the maritimers here you can buy it at superstore.

  10. Mary says:

Foodland has it on special this week for $5.59, and $2.00 off it’s a darn good deal, as Balderson is very expensive cheese. But, of course there isn’t any better either!

  11. Graham says:

Balderson isn’t bad. Note that you are paying more than $3 for 126g of cheese — $2.38/100g. That’s about the same as the regular price for my favourite cheese, made here in Eastern Ontario. Empire cheddar, from Campbellford has a 4-year-old cheddar is so sharp it can be hard to eat!

There aren’t as many independent cheesemakers as there used to be, but there still are some. Support them!

  12. This is a very good post, but I was wondering how do I suscribe to the RSS feed?
