this is an awesome deal.
Thansk!
Sorry but I would never waste my money on this company. They have the audacity to claim in ads that I’ve seen that they are somehow affordable for long distance journeys. I am referring in particular to Toronto to B.C. I wrote them an email, not that it does any good, but just out of frustration regarding the ridiculous prices they gauge people for and I get a response along the lines of, “well, you can see things on ground level, not like an airplane, bla bla bla” I was kind enough to inform them you can do that by automobile, and in fact can make the cross country trip by car, plane and if it were possible, by cruise ship and still have plenty of money left over for a european vacation for what it cost for a family of four to travel by train from Toronto, to Vancouver and return. Off peak with no notice for a tiny little room will put you out a little over $20,000, food not included, and on the traain that’ll be a few more thousand. Of course if you can book in advance off peak I think it’s only anbout $14,000…a steal, although there’s still the food of course. Sorry isn’t this a railway that receives government funds to stay afloat? Unless there are a vast number of millionaires in Canada I would say the companies days are numbered, and you can be assured as the ship goes down the management will do the prudent thing. Crank up the prices to make up for lost ridership.
nice, I guess you only publish rosy happy comments. I put an honest comment about via and what a rip off it is. Perhaps you are a fan of this gauging money grab company. Advertising positively for a company that charges in excess of $40 for a return ticket from oakville to toronto when you can get the same on go transite for about $12….There is NO justification other than robbing the public.
For those who still enjoy the train, VISA PERKS does a 10% off coupon.
