Thank you because I have had NO luck winning one myself!
I didn’t have any luck either. Thanks so much!
Thanks to all of the above for this entry. Nothing beats yogurt! Could there be a problem with printing the coupon because on the coupon it reads “void if reproduced?” Couponmom
Hi! I don’t think there will be a problem because it originated from an email. I had to print it to access it.
Did anyone use the coupon ?? Where did u use it sucessfully ??
I used two of these coupons today at our local IGA. The cashier had no idea what they were ( you would think that she would have seen a coupon before!!) Once she finally figured out that the coupon was for a free item, it was easy sailing from there! Good luck!
I used two at the Food Basics today and didn’t have a problem.
I won a free container –but all of the grocery store in Cornwall ontario–including Food Basic, YIG, etc refused to take stating they don’t accept internet coupons–(one cashier was really rude about it like I was doing something fraudulant!) I only tried one store in Ottawa–no luck there!—Any ideas?
coupon kid…maybe try printing the coupon on thicker paper….I was worried that when I used mine they wouldn’t accept them, but they did fortunately. Maybe on a thicker paper they would seem more legit?
I’m always worried about retailers not accepting my coupons printed off the internet. Since I print them in B&W they sometimes think they’re photocopies. They usually accept them once I tell them that they were “e-mailed to me”. I had no problem using this coupon at Save On Foods this evening.
At the SuperStore I’ve had cashiers clear it with their managers before — which is fine by me (when I know for sure they aren’t fraudulent!).
Then I also tell the manager what site they can find the coupon on (I highlight the original site — not smartcanucks).
The managers are usually v. cool and happy to approve it.
It takes an extra 30secs or so, but it is not really a hassle.
So, I’d simply ask the cashier to go ahead and clear it with her/his manager if they want.
Thanks for the coupon link, I’ll try our Safeway, Extra foods and Coop tomorrow when Im in town, dh and I consume this stuff like it was candy! especially great for smoothies!
OK, I just used this — with no problem (not even needing a manager’s clearance) at the Superstore in Westboro (Ottawa, Richmond Road).
Thanks!
By the way, I notice in general that if I use an online coupon (from my own printer) when I also use a bunch of other ‘typical’ coupons (cut out from magazines, etc.) that they question it alot less since it is clear that I’m just a smart (or annoying!) coupon person. ( :
Co-op and Safeway had no problem accepting here in Manitoba. I’ll try our Extra Food tomorrow. Fantastic value, cost here if $3.50 and up! Even dh is impressed ! lol
i tried to use it at a walmart today, no luck.
apparantly i was told that all walmarts do not accept print/photocopy/online coupons. the manager told me herself but she was nice enough.. and the cashier later told me to try it at another store..
personally though.. I think these online coupons always seem kinda sketch.. maybe the companies should somehow inform the bigger supermarket/superstores.. before they release the coupons online..
Hi I just tried to use two coupons at Longo’s and the clerk and the cashier manager said companies like Danone don’t issue printable coupons. When I told her that I got them from the website from playing their online game, she still didn’t believe me.
I have written to Danone about it and hopefully they will educate the stores who refuse a ligitimate coupon.
Poor customer service at Longo’s
I guess everyone should try to write a line to Danone. I had no luck in Walmart and No Frills too 🙁
I just sent a message to Silhouette…hope they respond
Ive never had a problem using printable coupons I use colour and thicker paper and Ive never once been denied, in fact I think I would freak out if they said no.
Its ridiculous that they wont take them at some of these places as you guys are describing.
I do have a question though, you guys arent just going with the coupon and buying the yogurt right 😛 that might raise eyebrows lol!
What a great idea to msg the company about the issues with the stores, how unfair!
I just tried at Loblaw’s with no luck (and I was buying other things as well to answer Sally’s question). ( :
Well I still haven’t gotten a response back from Danone or Longo’s. Hey if you are going to complain hit all involved.
I use a Canon i960 Photo printer and print on high quality paper and they still wouldn’t take it. People are just afraid because they don’t want to rock the boat at their place of work. The cashier even told me that if they take a invalid coupon that the store takes it off their paycheck. I don’t know how true it is but it wouldn’t suprize me. The rich get richer and the poor struggling people that can use every cent they can get less.
And to top it off while at the store some took my coupon pouch from the cart when I had my back turned. Lost a whole bunch of coupons, the dove chocolate coupons, razors everything.
Talk about your bad shopping experience.
They have removed the game from their site to win a free container
I’m glad they removed the game – I was getting pretty pissed off not winning! One less source of frustration – yay!
I don’t think they legally can take it out of a paycheque.
‘The cashier even told me that if they take a invalid coupon that the store takes it off their paycheck. I don’t know how true it is but it wouldn’t suprize me. The rich get richer and the poor struggling people that can use every cent they can get less.’
thank you
I just got it yesterday at Shoppers Drug Mart in Markham and it was just plain black and white on regular paper. Whenever I use printable coupons, it always get accepted since its an internet coupon no matter what type of paper you use of what type of ink. Maybe I’m just lucky ><“
Well Thanks Bonnie for that great bit of info will head to Shoppers Tommorrow.
By the way everyone as I said previously I contacted Danone about the printable coupon fiasco and they are sending me a corporate coupon for a free package of Yogurt.
The system works.
Thank You SmartCanuck
Wal-mart always takes my internet coupons. I have also used at Zeller’s (for paper towel) and Shoppers Drug Mart.
By the way, I used 3 coupons at one time (they are $2.99 at Wal-mart) and plan to use another 5 today – they make great frozen yogurt pops!!
I successfully used a coupon at Food Basics tonight for a yoghurt.
Steeles and 404 in Thornhill.
What a job this has turned out to be! I wasted my time trying to use this coupon at my area stores, so I emailed Danone requesting a coupon that the stores WOULD accept. They responded by not answering my request, but instead asked where I got the coupon. Naturally I didn’t inform them of smartcanucks, but said it was from their website, gave the barcode #, expiry date, etc. and then they didn’t respond. So I asked for an answer to my request again, and AGAIN they asked me a question instead: “what is on the coupon above the pictured container?” Ummm – nothing as far as I can see. Does anyone have ‘something’ there on their printed coupon???? This is really becoming annoying…
I used the coupon successfully at No Frills a week ago but yesterday was denied at The Barn… they said they do not accept any online coupons. I’ll try again tomorrow at No Frills.
I used the coupon at the old A&P in Georgetown with no problems.
I used the coupon at the Real Canadian Superstore in London with no problems today.
I think Danone might be referring to the watermark on the coupon. If you photocopy it that doesn’t always show up.
THIS COUPON IS PRINTED OFF THE COMPUTER> U CANT USE IT AT THE STORE>
Lee,
This is the way Silhouette provided this coupon.
No problem in Manitoba – Safeway, Xtra Foods, Coop, and Shoppers Drug Mart all accepted.
no store in oshawa will accept the silhouette coupon I tried Food basics, pricechopper, superstore, all no luck
I used it in windsor at a and p!!
Longos, at Highway 7/Woodbine won’t accept this coupon.
I used a coupon today at Sobey’s in Moncton – no problem!
I tried to use one at Superstore, but since it was in black and white they said they wouldn’t get money back for it because it looked like it had been photocopied. They suggested using a color printer, not sure that would help though as you could just color photo copy it as well.
Longos Hwy 7 and Woodbine won’t accept this coupon.
Tried to use the coupon at Food Basics in Pembroke, and two of the cashiers said that they don’t accept internet coupons. I guess it depends on where the Food Basics store is, right?
I used this coupon at the Atlantic Superstore in Rothesay New Brunswick without any problem.
I tried to use this coupon at Shop Easy in MB but wouldn’t take it, went to Extra Foods without a problem….awesome.
This coupon is NOT VALID! Retailers were warned.
Oh my God,what a coupon?by now i have used it 6 times, every time i used 2 coupons with absolutely no problem.and one information for all people,it also comes in plain yogurt,so i keep taking plain yogurt for use in curries and daily cooking and fruit yogurt for desserts.
I have used this many times with no issues at Walmart, Superstore and Sobeys. I feel bad to find out it is not a valid couon after using it numerous times.
sd, it is valid.
Danone were just being a-holes.
Thannks so much for this coupon Boo!!!
I had procrastinated for a week and was going to print them out this morning but I saw that it was taken down. A quick google search found another copy and I printed off 4 coupons.
First I went to Fortinos Waterdown where I had no difficulty at all redeeming 2 coupons:
2 @ 3.29 ea = Savings of $6.58
The I went to Sobeys and redeemed the other 2 and again, the cashier hardly even read them.
2 @ 3.59 ea = Savings of $7.18
Sub total savings= $13.76
I showed my awesome savings to my mom who then went out with my brother and redeemed 4 more !
4 @ 3.59 ea = $14.36
Thus, my total yogurt savings tonight were $28.12
Merci Beaucoup!
I tried to use at Sobey’s and they told me there was a limit of $2.00 for the coupon. I said that it was free – they were going to get their money ack plus handling, not just $2:00 they were offering me. I also told them that it was a Canadian address and that the coupon is sent to Resolve right here in Saint John for reimursement. The girl just looked at me, I could tell she was thinking ??how did she know all this. Little do they know that I was trained by my Mother who grew up in the depression and I know how to shop and if there is a coupon to be had, I use it to SAVE money on the ever expensive groceries!!! They went to the office and came back and gave me the same answer. I took the items out of the bag and told them to take off my bill. Took my coupons to Superstore and they never batted an eyelash 4x$3.19= $12.76 saved. I used them there 3 separate occasions 4 coupons each time.
Sobey’s always seems to give a hard time with coupons but on the other hand Superstore rocks!
I told the manager at Sobeys that too, I also said this is just another reason why I patron the Superstore.
Thanks for listening and letting me vent!!
I just got lucky, I guess. I was able to use the coupon at Zehrs in St. Catharines with no problem. Came back to find another and could not find the coupon. Now I know why. I have taken to saving the coupons in a folder now so I can go back and retrieve when I need them.
