The Toronto Transit Commission, TTC, new unlimited two-hour transfers will be available starting on August 26 2018.
The two-hour transfer is a new feature that will be available to PRESTO card customers only. With this transfer customers will be able to hop on and off the system and switch directions any point in their journey, within two hours of their first tap. The transfer will automatically be applied to your PRESTO card the first time you tap onto a bus or streetcar or into a subway station through the fare gates. Each time you tap your card the reader will validate the transfer within the two hour period. When the two hours runs out, you will be charged another fare and the two hour time frame will start again.

- Saturday, September 08, 2018 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Field Goal Game. If you are looking for a fun activity to do with the family, we’ve got a great workshop for kids that will teach them about building. Kids can learn how to build their very own field goal game. (Registration closes September 3, 2018)
- Do-It-Yourself Workshops:
- Saturday, September 15, 2018 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Painting Touch-Ups and Techniques. We’ve got a workshop on how to paint the interior of your home. You will learn how to prep and paint your ceilings, walls and trim, to help give your home’s interior a fresh new look. (Registration closes September 12, 2018)
- Wednesday, September 19, 2018 – 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM: Tile Floors and Walls: select, lay cut and grout tile. We’ve got a workshop that will teach you how to install ceramic tiles on your floors and walls. You will learn how to plan, select and lay tiles over backer board and how to avoid common installation problems. (Registration closes September 16, 2018)
- Sunday, September 23, 2018 – 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM: Weatherize Your Home. This workshop will teach participants how to find and reduce air leaks in their homes, to make them more comfortable and energy efficient. (Registration closes September 20, 2018)

Tim Hortons Canada has announced that they will release new and improved cup lids! Customers have been complaining about their leaky lids for many years. “If we don’t make these adjustments, we will fall back in time,” President Alex Macedo said. “The only people who are going to be pissed off are dry cleaners and car-washing companies. They will wash fewer shirts and fewer cars.”

This year IKEA’s introducing a lot of cool little items (as well as some new furniture pieces) that will help accentuate your home and make it feel all warm and fuzzy. IKEA Canada’s released tons of new bright and vivid cushions as well as a few new and cool LED light fixtures that we’ll certainly be buying a couple of. We also fancy the new colourful picture frames.
All in all, we continue to fall in love with IKEA this fall. The new catalogue is as elegant and stylish as always.
