The Ontario Electronics Stewardship, who set the Eco Fee in Ontario, are changing their fees as of May 1st.

The biggest change is for large screen televisions (over 29″) which are increasing from $27.60 to $39.50.  There are many other small changes, including some reductions in fees

• telephones / answering machines up from $1.00 to $1.50
• personal/portable image / audio / video devices up from $0.15 to $0.75
• home audio / image / video devices (non portable) up from $5.15 to $7.10
• Computer Peripherals up from $0.30 to $0.75

Businesses will be happy to know that the very large fee for Floor-Standing Printing and Floor-Standing Copying and Multi-Function Devices is being reduced from $341.20 to $173.75.
