This was posted on the iPhone World blog:
A recent CBC News report from Canada sparked a lot of controversy about iPhone’s future in Canada.
The CBC News report stated that CBC was told by a Rogers Wireless customer representative that it has not announced any plans to carry the iPhone in Canada, yet. A lot of reputable sites, including Apple Insider (which we really like, but still think is not Canadian enough), carried this information as truthful.
However, we here at iPhoneWorld.ca did not buy this report, as previously a Rogers Wireless customer representative told us via e-mail that Rogers will be the sole exclusive Apple iPhone carrier in Canada.
Hence, just today, on April 6th 2007, we’ve made a call to Rogers Wireless regarding the CBC report. Rogers Wireless customer representative Amanda, (1-877-764-3772), told us the following.
According to Amanda (whose last name we were unable to get due to Rogers policies), “We [Rogers Wireless] are going to offer the iPhone in Canada… We’re just unsure of the exact release date.“
Therefore, we’d like to forward this information to all our Canadian readers. This is not the first and not the last time CBC was wrong, while the iPhone will certainly be brought to Canada by Rogers Wireless. Rumor squashed!
Additionally, we’ve contacted CBC News to try and make them aware of their error, but they never got back to us.

Thanks to Kate for this info 🙂
Finally Price Chopper has it’s own official website. The flyer is posted there so I won’t be posting it on the forum anymore. I’ll just update my flyer links to point to the official website.

Robert D. Gibb is posting a stunning series of articles on Air Miles on the forum. I found the series very useful and enlightening so I’m posting it on the blog as well.
Robert D. Gibb is a Contributing Editor (DRIPs) at the Canadian MoneySaver Magazine.
Nothing outstanding in the name brand AirMiles promotions this week except possible Colgate toothpaste:
Buy 12 @ $2 each ($24) and get 100 AMs (approx. $12)
So the effective price is $1 per tube but I don’t see a great advantage there over sale prices elsewhere.
Last week’s Buy 5 House Brands Get 50 AMs still stands (see my April 25th post).
This week however they do have the Spring AirMiles Coupon Offers on. On this promo they have around 50 name brands. Buying 2 of each earns bonus AMs (on high priced items usually you only have to buy 1). These offers usually earn 10 – 50 AMs each. If you buy 5 different offers you earn a bonus 50 AMs ($6). I find the prices on these items to generally not be very competitive compared to other stores. HOWEVER!
This Tuesday is “Spend $35 or more and get either 10% off or 10 times the base AMs”. (Trust me taking the 10% off is the better deal than the 10Xs AMs). If you can combine that with the We Care coupons you can knock the price down more than 10% and get better value.
Also note: The Proctor and Gamble coupon book ($70) is in today’s newspaper. Luckily, living in a condo I’ll get about 10 books. P& G usually follows with AM promos at Safeway soon after these books come out. Great value.

Re: Trust Me
Base AirMiles at Safeway is 1AM/$20 spent.
So on $35 spent you’d earn the equivalent of 1.75 AMs. Taking the 10Xs offer would get 17.5 AMs. At approx $0.12/AM that’s a value of $2.10 .
10% off of $35 is $3.50 which 67% better than $2.10.
So you’re far better off taking the 10% off.

e.l.f. eyes lips face has a lot of items on sale for $1 USD + $9 flat rate shipping to Canada. If you’re ordering in bulk (and maybe with your friends to pay the shipping once) this is one awesome deal. For $1 don’t expect the most healthy products but some things like brushes can’t really be harmful.
Here’s an article about e.l.f. products
Check out e.l.f.’s website and order your $1 items here
The good news is… there’s also a promotion going on until April 1st:
