Chapters Indigo has a good deal for Plum Rewards members right now where if you spend $50 or more in store you’ll earn a bonus of 4,5000 plum points. That equates to $10 worth of Plum Points.
If you are not already a Plum Rewards member it’s free to join and you can sign up here.
If you sign up online you’ll just have a piece of paper to print out to use as a card, but usually you don’t even need that when it’s in their system you can just give your phone number.
This offer ends September 29th.
Aaaah, no. If you sign up online it’s harder to look you up. You’ll still get your points, but you’re going to be spending more time at the cashier while they find your account. If you don’t have a Plum card already (how can there be anyone left who doesn’t have one of these things??) it’s best/easiest to sign up in the store.
I signed up online and just gave my phone number in store and it never took them more than a few seconds to look it up.
Also, after like a year I just had them convert the online sign up to a card for in store, since it’s easier to just carry one around. That also only took them a minute or so to do.
Maybe I should get a card… I had always thought that it had an annual membership fee!

Chapters-Indigo have two types of membership:
Plum card (free) – earn points to redeem – 10 points per $ spent in stores or up to save 5% when shopping online
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/plumrewards/
iRewards $35 annual fee – 10% off books instore, 5% off other items instore and up to 5% off online

You would need to be spending $350+ at Chapters on books to recoup the $35 so it is not worth it for most people. Both types of card get you access to free wifi at Indigo & Chapters stores (not Coles)
