If you enjoy Costco’s free food samples then you’ll be sad to hear this. Costco is no longer offering free food samples at some of its stores as a hygiene measure against Coronavirus. Did your local Costco stop serving free samples?

No Free samples, how do I know if the product tastes good; I don’t, therefore I simply won’t buy the product, simple as that.
Would like free sample of coronavirus as well?
You can’t catch coronavirus through food unless the person serving it had it and coughs all over it. It’s getting a bit silly all this corona scare mongering. I wish big companies like Costco would do there best to stop the panic instead of contributing to it.
Yeah, but what if the customers have it and cough on all the samples?
@Guess – Get a grip, this can happen any where; might as well shut down everything, oh wait; they are already doing that in Italy, if that is what you want, maybe that is what you will get.
This is just getting silly. I can’t believe retail stores are now joining the scare that media stirred up.
This is no different than someone with common cold coughing all over the sample. Surely Costco advocates food health and safety; Therefore, the sample districtor will then dispose the batch.
I’m just glad they’ll not be blocking the aisles. I’m always visualizing taking a cattle prod to people who’re in the way.
Be aware that those staff offering food samples actually work for third party entities hired by Costco to provide the sampling/couponing or whatever. Happens in many grocery chain stores. Sometimes I spot a sample worker working in two unaffliated store chains!
And given that many retail jobs (pt, contract ) don’t offer health benefits, guess there was a concern to mitigate possible spike in sick leaves by any temp, contract or full-time store worker.
