This is a great deal. I did this last year. Even if you don’t end up using the coupons you can pass them along to others because they’re a bonus with the gift card so they don’t cost anything extra and if you go to that theatre anyway, it’s win-win!
Great deals but I find them them too time limited (like what if I don’t get to the cinema within that month) Also the cheapie tuesdays are cheaper than $6,99 so its cheaper to go any tuesday. It also sounds better than it is (30$ in coupons but most you have to buy one to get something it doesn’t seem like that when you consider the total amount you will have to pay (like the 30$ GC will be used up after the first 3 deals))So youre not just getting $30 worth of free stuff for $30. You are paying like $50 total for the stuff in the coupons which doesn’t include the admission everytime. Still an excellent deal for those that go often.
Can you then use the gift card against the buy-1-get-1? Because I think it is worth it if I can use a buy-one-get-one and then just use the rest of the gift cards on cheap Tuesdays.
Do you know if you can purchase the deal (i.e., the $30 gift card & get the $30 worth of coupons free) at the Empire theatres proper rather than order the card online? I would like to avoid paying for shipping.
@Maya,
yes I’ve bought these in years past when I go to the movie theatre. I just buy the gift card in the first transaction and then do a second transaction using the gift card to pay.
I’ve never heard of these theaters. When I went on the website it says there is one in Richmond Hill but when I did a google street view it just showed me a Loblaws plaza with a few banks and clothing stores in it. Does anyone actually know where this theater is and if its an actual theater or just some underground thing?
@ Sarah: don’t know about the richmond hill location but there’s a big one in square one and it is a regular theatre
Thats Great!! thanks 🙂
