Thanks Patty Smyth for this weekly deal!
Ikea ovens are made by Whirlpool – a company that also make Kitchen Aid and is NOT new to appliances. We bought one of their 24″ wall ovens after shopping around. Prices elsewhere are at least three times the Ikea price for the same features. In addition, Ikea appliances come with a five year warranty (for no extra cost), something salespeople in specialty appliance stores said, “no one else in the industry can touch.” Haven’t installed it yet (it’s for our new house) but I’m not worried given the warranty.
Here’s a list of who makes what in appliances:

You should really check the stock availability before going to these stores. I called about the PAX ARDAL sliding doors. If you check with the automated Stock Availability system, it’ll tell you there are 3 of them. I’ve been fooled by this once for another item. I went to the store and they checked and said there was none. The online stock availability is a LIE to. Get the operator to check for you it’s more accurate.
The PAX ARDAL was discontinued in February, so this sale at North York is a fraud/hoax!
why does it always seem that the deals in Vaughan – IKEA closest to me – are always some silly little thing?
Does the Hermelin “cot” look more like crib/baby cage than a bed to anyone else?
