The promotion for the upcoming Shoppers Drug Mart flyer valid November the 5th to the 12th, is 20x the Optimum Points when you spend $75 or more on cosmetics or fragrances all week long.

This is not everyone’s favourite promotion, but it may be time to get that Christmas shopping started, and this would be a great opportunity. If there are any fragrance or cosmetics gift sets that you need to pick up, next week is the time to cross those off your shopping list, and collect 20x the Optimum points on your purchase.

There is also a two day sale this week, valid on the Sunday and Monday, November the 6th and 7th. Below are some of the items on sale on these two days:

Always a favourite promotion, the yearly offer for Optimum points on gift card purchases is back again at Shoppers Drug Mart stating Saturday 5th November until Friday 11th November.

Buy two (or more) gift cards totalling $200 or more to qualify.  If you purchase four gift cards for $400, you will still only get 8000 bonus points, so youwill need to split up transactions.   I can’t read the small print on the flyer sneak peek, but if like previous years, there were some conditions.  You will not receive points if you use another gift card to buy gift cards.  Points were not awarded immediately last time either, they were credited 7-10 days after the promotion ended.

As with last year, there is some fraud with Shoppers Drug Mart gift cards as the PIN is not needed.  It is best to get a card from the cashier and not the gift card rack where there is a chance of them being copied.  There were some isolated instances of cards that were copied in previous years, and Shoppers will be a prime target for this with this promotion.

Here is another mail in rebate available through the SmartSaver Canada portal. Get select K-Y products free when you purchase the product between the 31st of October and the 30th of November, and mail your receipt and the rebate form that you must print through SmartSaver.

This rebate is valid for up to $16.10 back by mail when you purchase any one K-Y Lubricant product, excluding K-Y Touch 2-in-1 Warming Oil and Personal Lubricant 148ml, K-Y Yours + Mine Couples Lubricants 88ml, K-Y Warming Jelly 142g…and I actually can’t even read the last part of what this says because the writing is small and squiggly on the printed form.

This is actually the third or fourth time this has been offered this year for this particular product. If you have done these mail in rebates before, you know that you can expect to receive your rebate cheque within six weeks from the time of mailing.

If you have rolls of coins lying around the house, you can take them to Food Basics or Metro this week, cash them in, and earn free groceries in the process!

From November the 3rd to the 16th, cash in $40 or more in coins at a Coinstar machine at any Metro of Food Basics Ontario, and you will receive a voucher for $10 off your next grocery shop totaling $10 or more. There is a fee to use the Coinstar machine which is currently 11.9%. So, if you were to cash in $4o, this would be a fee of $4.76. Subtract that $4.76 from the $10 voucher that you will receive, and you are still ahead by $5.24.

The $10 coupon is valid until the 23rd of November.
