Every Tuesday, Via Rail Canada offers discounts on select Economy & Sleeper Class Routes! This is great for any traveller looking to save on a short distance route, or anyone who has a little more time and is willing to view the Canadian scenery as they travel across country on the rails. These deals last until midnight only, so be sure to head online and pick up your deals fast!

This week you can find a good selection of one way deals on short distance routes from Via Rail such as Toronto to Montreal for $39, or Toronto to Niagara Falls for just $19. If you’re willing to travel long distance, you can travel from Montreal to Halifax for $107, or Toronto to Jasper for $278. Travelling longer distances with Via Rail often means that you’ll be on the rails for a night or more, so you there are sleeper and meal options for you to select in some cases that will make travel more comfortable.

For economy class discounts you have until 11:59pm on November 3, 2015 to book. Travel between Saturday, November 7 and Friday, November 13, 2015 inclusive in the Québec City-Windsor corridor. For the long haul and sleeper trains, travel between Saturday, November  7 and December 7, 2015.

Here are two coupons available through our SmartCanucks SmartSource coupon portal that were previously available, but it appears that they have been “refreshed” and you can print them again. I printed them when they first became available, and was able to print them again this morning. The coupons are for $1 off the purchase of any Royale Tiger Towels, and $1 off the purchase of Royale Velour Bathroom Tissue. There are some unfortunate changes to No Frills Canada’s price matching policies being tested out in London, Ontario right now. As of October 23, 2015, shoppers in London, Ontario are now only able to price match items featured in No Frills’ weekly flyer.

Currently, most Canadian shoppers can price match just about anything in store when you bring in a flyer or receipt of a cheaper item from one of No Frills’ major supermarket competitors within this store’s geographical trade area. This new pilot project is restricting this offer even more and limiting shoppers to price matching only the items featured in No Frills’ flyer. You can already view the different policies online when setting your store location as you will see a different price matching policy on the bottom of the home page for London as compared to other cities.

As of right now, this is pilot project being tested out in London, ON, but depending on how this new policy tests, shoppers could see some changes to No Frills “We Won’t be Beat” policy.

There’s no word yet as to when or if this policy will roll out nationwide.
