Here’s a controversial deal in Future Shop and Best Buy Canada’s November 22 – 28, 2013 flyers. Trade your old but working iPad 2 or later and get  a minimum $200 gift card. iPad must be in good physical condition. Although the flyer says you can use the gift card to purchase an iPad Air, you can actually use the Future Shop or Best Buy Canada gift cards to purchase anything at the respective stores. The iPad Air idea isn’t bad at all though. You end up paying $299.99 after trade-in and end up with a brand spanking new iPad Air.

You can argue that you can possibly sell an old iPad on Kijiji or Craigslist for a little more than $200 but I feel that the advantage of convenience and safety that comes with the Future Shop / Best Buy trade far outweighs the extra few dollars you might make via Kijiji/Craigslist, but that’s just me.
