The gift card promotion at Shoppers Drug Mart starts today but it is a little different than previous years.

• Limited to three offers per customer/card holder
• Points will be added on November 22nd
• If you use a prepaid credit card or Shoppers Drug Mart gift card to buy the gift cards, points will not be awarded.

Buy at least two gift cards totalling $150 in the same transaction and get 8000 bonus points.  If you buy $300 in one transaction, only 8000 points will be awarded, you need to separate them into separate transactions.  Remind the cashier to scan your Optimum card, many say there are no points on gift cards and do not scan them.  Shop early if you want to do this promotion, many stores ran out of popular gift cards last year.

PC Plus, Loblaws’ rewards card is expanding!

Starting next week, your flyers will include PC Plus bonus point offers.  Many stores are already letting you sign up for a card to start using on November 15th or you can download the app and let them scan your card from your phone.

PC Plus does not require a PC Financial card, it is a standalone program and while they do have occasional offers based on spending, most are bonus points on certain items.  Unlike rebate apps, I often get offers on fresh produce, meat and other items I actually buy.
