Personally I like to chew my breakfast but I guess if you’re in a hurry it is better than nothing.

I’m not sure if it’s the same throughout every big Canadian city, but here in Toronto & surrounding GTA, Canada Goose seems to be a big deal…with an even bigger price tag. This is definitely not something that will be featured as a deal on Smart Canucks, anytime in the near future!
As soon as the weather dipped below 15 degrees celsius, I was already seeing kids – and by kids, I mean young people who I assume don’t have jobs ’cause they have time to loiter – wear them inside the mall!!!
I get it, I get it, you and or your parents had $545+HST (Chilliwack, as pictured above) to blow and you want to show it off to your homies.
What I don’t get is WHERE the money to fund this trend is coming from? (I don’t think these core CG consumers are particularly wealthy.) Do these walking billboards just make certain sacrifices in order to get their swag on? Or do they just stick their purchase on VISA and think about how they’re gonna pay for it…later? How do these young people afford trends as expensive as these Canada Goose jackets?
This week’s Real Canadian has a coupon for a free $25.00 gift card when you purchase $250.00 worth of merchandise. Excludes tobacco, alcohol, phone cards, gift cards, lottery tickets, third party operations, and any other provincially regulated products. Total must be reached before taxes. Limit one per household. Cannot be combined with any other coupons or promotional offers.
Tree ornaments are 50% off if you haven’t dressed the tree yet. If you’re in Ontario they’re also doing the Holiday Price Promise so you can price match all competitor deals too.
Foodland will be holding gingerbread house decorating parties this holiday season. Dates and times will vary by location, find the store nearest you here.
I’ve been pondering if I want to bring my little guy to one of these classes but him not even being two I think it’d be less decorating and demolition and shoving gumdrops in his mouth.

Okay, so the deals at Apple aren’t as great as I thought! 🙁 (The site actually crashed last night, so I thought the Black Friday discounts would be crazy.) If you were planning to buy an Apple product and no longer qualify for their Education Discount, here are some examples of the “deals”:
– iPad 2, starting at $478, reg. $519 (save a whole $41)
– MacBook Air, from $898, reg. $999 (save $101)
– iPod nano, from $118, reg. $129 (save $11)
If my memory serves me correctly, the Edu discount is better on the MacBooks/iMacs, but I’m not sure they apply to items like iPod nano/Touch.
Click here if you’re still interested to check out these discounts at Apple.
