Canada Post today announced the introduction of a new non-denominated stamp that will retain its value forever. The PERMANENTâ„¢ stamp will be accepted at the basic domestic Lettermail rate and replaces next year’s 52¢ domestic rate definitive stamps. The PERMANENT stamp will eliminate the need to purchase 1¢ stamps after a rate increase, doing away with the need for Canadians to worry about ‘using up’ postage stamps before a rate increase takes effect.

Sorry for not posting anything yesterday. I was busy enjoying my lovely new Nintendo Wii 🙂 weeee
Yes! I got one! I was crazy enough to wake up at 3:00am on Sunday. When I arrived at Best Buy there were 34 people lined up, and 42 Wiis in stock 🙂 Unlike the PlayStation 3 line up, most people were true Nintendo fans of all ages. I met some very nice people and with all the interesting conversations and activities going on time flew by. Before I even knew it, I was the proud owner of a brand new cute little Wii 🙂
I’d like to mention that the guys at Best Buy were very friendly and organized. They didn’t seem to mind going to work at 6:00am on a Sunday. This service is sincerely appreciated.
I forgot to take my Camera so unfortunately I didn’t take any photos but some other folks had cameras and promised to email me the photos. I’ll post the photos here as soon as I get them.

I was going to buy a Nintendo Wii on Sunday (when it’s first released) but after people lined up for the PlayStation 3 more than 48 hours before the release day my chances are very slim.
What really bothers me is that most people who bought the PlayStation 3 today are selling them on ebay for profit. Bids are as high as $3000 so most parents don’t have a chance of buying one. Most of these PlayStation 3s, which were destined to Canada, end up being shipped by these self-centred ebayers to the US and we end up with no PlayStation 3s (and probably Wiis) here! These selfish people didn’t take a second to consider the consequences of their behaviour.
With this sickening greed phenomenon, parents are left with no hope of buying a PlayStation 3 (nor probably a Wii) for their eager children before Christmas 🙁
These 2 specials are available in-store only on Saturday and Sunday, November 18 & 19.
