This is a video from dove’s campaign for real beauty where you see a girl get a heavy makeup and then get “fixed” in Photoshop before she’s beautiful enough for an ad.

I’ve had very few posts over the last couple of days… sorry about that. I had some school work to finish and deadlines were fast approaching. Things should be back to normal this Friday.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for freebies don’t forget to visit the forum’s Freebies section which has tons of nice freebies. If you want to just chit chat with other smart canucks you can do so here.

Hayden, Ryan, Ames, Baby J and Samantha, you’re the winners of SmartCanucks.ca Cutest Baby Contest 🙂
CONGRATULATIONS! I’ll contact you later on as regards to the prizes.
Last but not least, as this contest comes to an end, I would like to say that all the babies in the contest are cute and I trust that you know that. The judging in this contest was based solely on the photo of the baby, not the best way to judge someone, but it was only meant to be for fun…Thanks to all the contestants and to the people who voted.
Congratulations!
Thanks to JFreeman for this deal

Update:
Here are today’s deals:
– TrendNet Wireless G Advanced Pan & Tilt Internet Camera for $299 $129

Nothing that good today except maybe for the CIT300 Skype / Landline Dual-mode Internet Telephone Kit. I’ll probably buy this Skype telephone kit for my parents. If you want to know what it does check out this CIT300 review.

Today’s deals are very specific and a bit disappointing.
– Plantronics Discovery 645 Bluetooth Headset for $199 $80
– IOGEAR 2-Port MiniView Micro KVM Switch with Cables for $49 $20
– KPEX100/1GB 1GB Portable Media Player with Mini-SD Slot for $149 $100
– Sony DSC-S500 Cyber-shot 6MP Digital Camera for $199 $170
– Dell 1800mp XGA Projector for $999 $699
– Dell 23″ LCD TV for $799 $699
If you need to connect 2 computers to a single monitor and switch between the two computer displays, you might want to look at the IOGEAR 2-Port MiniView Micro KVM Switch with Cables for $20. However, this switch uses PS2 and not USB so it won’t be compatible with very recent computers. Mac users will also have to buy an extra adaptor.
Everything else is ok but nothing’s spectacular. Hopefully Dell will offer better deals tomorrow.

Dell Canada is having 10 business days of deals starting on Monday, October 9 (Thanksgiving).
During Dell’s days of deals, Dell tries to promote computer accessories and electronics rather than desktops and notebooks. This is usually a good time to get awesome deals on stuff like computer monitors, keyboards, mice, PDAs, wireless routers, cameras and all sorts of other accessories and electronics. I’ll try my best to review each day’s deal on Smart Canucks.

jimmycanuck is a Super Mario fan so I thought I’d share this Nintendo 1988 Inside Edition TV news report about Super Mario 🙂

jimmycanuck has a very enjoyable blog. Check it out here
The first 750 (2000 at some branches) customers to spend $75 or more at the Bay on Thanksgiving will receive a $15 Bay Savings Card on their next purchase.
If you were planning to buy stuff from the Bay, I’d recommend you make use of this promo. Just make sure you visit the Bay nice and early on Monday.
I don’t remember coming across this type of Coke machines in Canada. Has anyone seen these Coke machines here?

Even if there is such a machine, this is totally not cool and it’s unethical. I’m only posting it for fun 🙂
