The RCA 512MB MP3 Player is on sale at Future Shop online for $39.99 (regular price $109.99). This is a one day sale.

How did this device ever cost $109.99 in the first place? It was unquestionably over priced. $39.99 sounds like the right price. But this mp3 player doesn’t have a radio nor is it as “cool” as other mp3 players (I don’t know how coolness is measured but you get my point ;-)).

That being said, if all you care about is listening to music and spending the least possible sum of money on a pretty reliable mp3 player then that’s the right deal for you.

This offer is intended for the UK and other EU countries so I’m not sure if it’s valid in Canada too. I don’t have an XBOX 360 so I can’t try it out. In 1996, the Tickle Me Elmo was the “Must Have” toy. Many parents literally fought other parents in North American toy stores to purchase one of the toys for Christmas. The short supply of the toy, due to unexpected demand, meant that stores hiked the price on the dolls drastically. Newspaper classifieds even sold the plush toy for hundreds of US dollars.
