The Tuesday text offer from Shoppers Drug Mart Canada today is for 20,000 PC Optimum points when you spend $60 or more on nearly anything in the store. This offer is valid today only, until store closing, and even if you did not personally receive this text you may use it by scanning a screen shot. Your points will be in your account at the end of your transaction, the same as they would with a loaded offer.

I’m sure there are quite a few people who are new to Optimum, so for those who aren’t that familiar with the program, you are able to use coupons with this offer and still receive the points. For example, in this case, if you have $60 worth of merchandise and $20 worth of coupons, you will pay just $40 and still receive the points from the offer. It is imperative though that you ensure your subtotal is $60. If something rings up less than you anticipated and your subtotal is even a penny less you will not receive the points.

Also, although you may use the PC Optimum Points Days offer at Shoppers Drug Mart, they will not combine with this type of spend offer.

This week Real Canadian Superstore Ontario has Crest or Colgate Toothpaste selected varieties 50-100ml advertised for $1. There is also an in-store PC Optimum offer of 200 PC Optimum points for each one that you purchase. If your Superstore allows you to price match Walmart, you can match their price of 88 cents this week, and when you factor in the 200 PC Optimum points at Superstore on each one, this brings the cost down to just 68 cents each.

This is definitely a time to stock up, just remember that Superstore may put limits on how you can price match. You might have to make more than one trip through the cash.
