Pier 1 Imports announced the closing of all of its stores in Canada as it begins bankruptcy proceedings in the United States. “In connection with this, the Company has made the decision to move forward in the U.S. and close all stores in Canada. We thank our customers in Canada for your continued loyalty and for shopping with us over the years”.

I’ll miss it a little bit. The store was good for browsing for under $25 items in tablewear and linens and interesting “stocking stuffer/quirky” items.
