Never ever use Porter airlines for any of your flights. This is the second time they let me down. Last Xmas I used Porter to fly from Toronto to Thunder Bay. My flight was scheduled for 9 am but did not fly out until 8:30pm that evening. They sent me a $50 voucher for loosing out a day with my grandsons. Wow thank you….
I decided to try Porter again and no I did not use that voucher. This time I decided from Ottawa to Thunder Bay. My flight was today at noon. I have never been to this airport before. I set my gps yesterday and it said 2 hours and 15 minutes from my place, so I left my house at 8 am thinking I would be there there by 10:15, 45 minutes before the one hour they ask for you to be there. Well of course I hit bad traffic and I got lost a bit at the airport trying to find the parking lot I was supposed to use. I parked and ran from the parking lot to the check in counter. I got there half dead, full of sweat and out of breath. It was 11:25 am still 35 minutes for my flight. They said no I’m too late, I asked them to please have a bit of compassion, my grandsons are waiting for me at the other end. I was a bit upset so I was asked to leave before they got security. If this was air Canada or West Jet they would of worked things out for me, I know West jet would of been calling my name over the PA system before they closed the check in or gate. They did for me before. I will never ever fly Potter airlines again. I use to work for the family that started and owns Porter airlines. This is the way they always did their business
