I find this trend – free coffee, food, etc. for veterans on November 11th – troubling. This should be happening EVERY day, not simply when it serves to promote the company.
Two things…
1) lots of folks contribute to society that deserve special thanks and attention, putting overemphasis on the military seems weird and american. Free coffee for teachers on teacher’s day, anyone?
2) The Starbucks where I live in Fredericton, NB is closed for the holiday. Even though I might find the promotion a little unsettling it’s kinda a douche move to be closed the day it’s happening.
