Wow.
Could that ad be any more offensive?
, oh no they used a headdress, better throw a fit…people need to worry about something that is important
It’s not about worrying…if you’re so blasé about it you clearly don’t understand. I’m not Aboriginal and to me this is very culturally disrespectful
This ad is terrible.
Are you kidding me with this ad. How dare you!!! This is 2013 not the dark ages
Aboriginal or native North American . You should be ashamed of yourselves

I knew someone was going to go all “OMGZ*~*~*~*~ so racist, offensive, not cool, native, not Indian, etc etc I’m going to complain” about this ad.
Just stop. There are seriously more important things to freak out about.
No one is saying that it is racist but yes it is very offensive and disrespectful. It may not be important to you all but it is very important to us aboriginal people and a little research on your part would help in understanding. And no i am not saying that those that dont know the meaning behind the headdress are racist because this day and age many of our own people also do not know the true meaning. I am not nearly as offended as previous ads have been used but now all i can ask is for you all to inform yourselves so you all know why it is such a big “Issue” for us aboriginals, as i would do for any of you who would happen to find there culture and history being misused as in this case. Ill include an article that might somewhat help you all in understanding and hopefully will entice you to read up on the subject a bit more. I thank all of you that do read the article and hope you come closer to understanding the issue but i do understand that this day many canadians do not know the history and in most cases the harsh history and treatment that had to happen in order for us to call this great country our home.

Sal – thanks for letting me know what I should be offended about…it is racist pure and simple.
Cultural appropriation isn’t cool nor is it clever. You know what is, though? Picking up a history book and understanding why an ad like this is offensive.
No one “threw a fit” nor did anyone “go all OMGZ” <— whatever that's supposed to mean?
And no, Sal, I won't "just stop". I'll join Shammy and Kay in speaking out against racism, thank you.
Sal – the fact that you’ve identified this as racist, but not “important” enough to speak about is very sad. Also belittling those who do find this ad offensive? That is just ignorant and insensitive.
It is may or may not be offensive, it’s not for me to judge. What I do know is that it doesn’t seem to worth the hassle. I mean, it doesn’t even look appealing. What the hell is that supposed to mean? Do “Indians” have summer in September?
I can imagine it was a misunderstanding in the boardroom, “Tell the PR department I meant the other kind of Indian. You know, the country that is very hot all year long.”
