The Home Depot Canada has a new list of FREE workshops for do-it-yourselfers of all ages and experience levels that are going in August 2018! You have to register in advance to be able to attend these FREE Workshops, the registration dates are shown beside each workshop. The Home Depot Canada August 2018 FREE workshops include:
- Kids Workshops:
- Saturday, August 11, 2018 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Bookworm Bookends. If you are looking for a fun activity to do with the family, weve got a great workshop for kids that will teach them about building. Kids can learn how to build their very own bookworm bookends. (Registration closes August 5, 2018)
- Do-It-Yourself Workshops:
- Saturday, August 04, 2018 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Maintain a Deck: stripping, cleaning, and staining. This workshop provides information on cleaning and stripping your deck in preparation for staining. Participants will learn about applying a finish remover, conquering mildew and mold, applying semitransparent stains and clear finishes, as well as review the appropriate use of a pressure washer. (Registration closes August 1, 2018)
- Wednesday, August 15, 2018 – 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM: Open the Door to an Organized Closet: choose & install a closet system. This workshop will teach participants basic information about organizing personal items, choosing their storage style, as well as how to install a Closet Storage System. (Registration closes August 12, 2018)
- Saturday, August 18, 2018 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Enhance Your Backyard Living Space. This workshop will help give participants ideas on how to dress up an existing deck or patio, furnish their gardens with outdoor furniture, choose complimentary accessories for their home and garden, as well as how a touch of paint can spice up an existing garden. (Registration closes August 15, 2018)
- Sunday, August 26, 2018 – 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM: Painting Your Home’s Exterior: prep and paint or stain. Participants will learn how to prepare a home’s exterior for paint or stain, the steps involved in painting or staining an exterior surface, as well as how to paint exterior moulding and trim. (Registration closes August 23, 2018)
