– Awe Maternity T-Shirts @ $1.00 each!!!
– George Maternity Capris @ $1.00 each!!!

Thanks so much to corbinx for letting us all know about the sale on these items! I managed to find the shirts and kids sets at my Walmart:

Was at WalMart last night and saw a few clothing items for women for $1 but seemed to only be the Plus sized clothing. In the baby section, all the racks i saw for $1, on the tags said $2, so dunno.

If we can say WHICH Walmart, that’d be way more useful.

For now, i don’t even know if it’s for Ontario or it’s YMMV depending on the Walmart we visit

the tags on these clothes said $5 and $7. i just grabbed a whole heap of clothes and scanned them all until i found the $1 ones.

and sorry, jerry. this is YMMV. ontario peeps have found it and folks in alberta. i think its worth a look at your local wm

Great deals! On another note, does anyone know if Wamart does store to store transfers? I’m looking for a particular big ticket item and none of the stores in my area have it. I know other stores like Zellers can find a particular item anywhere across the country and have it transferred to your local store ( they’ve done it for me several time) but wondering about Walmart and if they do how to go about getting the item located and transferred. I’d appreciate any info. Thanks! (Staff at the local store don’t seem to know if it’s possible or not).

womens bathing suit pieces were $1.00 each here unfortunately i live in a town were people scoop stuff up too earler so the stuff never gets to $1.00

    Catherine,
You should be able to do that. Best bet is to first find out if another Walmart in the same district carries the item, then you could just go and pick it up. But if that’s not possible ask about a transfer. I work for them but am on Mat. leave right now. If the staff don’t know, ask to speak to the store manager.

    Cheap clothes shortchange garment workers
    http://www.thenational.ae/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100814/BUSINESS/708149946/1135

“…Bangladesh’s 3.5 million garment workers, most of them women, are the “world’s most poorly paid workers”.

“Many work 12 to 14 hour shifts, six days a week, often in hazardous conditions.

The 5,000 taka they are demanding is less than half the monthly wage of workers in China, the world’s largest producer of garments.

In recent years, Bangladesh has emerged as an attractive manufacturing centre for top multinational clothing retailers such as Tesco, Gap, H&M, Walmart and Marks & Spencer because of its low-cost labour, believed to be the world’s cheapest…..”

Wal-Mart: big on social responsibility, little on Bangladesh
    http://communities.canada.com/montrealgazette/blogs/incink/archive/2010/08/03/wal-mart-big-on-quot-social-responsability-quot-little-on-bangladesh.aspx

“Wal-Mart Canada had a lot to say about the environment and workers’ rights in its 2009 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, last week.

But the Canadian subsidiary of the world’s largest retailer was far less chatty about an equally topical area – workers’ rights in Bangladesh, where a significant amount of Wal-Mart apparel is sourced.”

Persons from every arena are using credit card and people who are not using the card have lined up to apply for even one. Thanks for spreading your ideas in credit cards.
