Following the Liberal win in the recent election, Canada Post has put the plan to convert most households to community mailbox delivery on hold pending discussions with the new government once in place.
If your door to door delivery has already been converted to community mailbox delivery (including any super mailboxes due to open this week) you will still pick up mail at the community mailbox. The move today does not undo any of the conversions already in place.
If you received a notification that your address would be converted to community mailbox delivery in November 2015-January 2016, you will continue to receive mail via door to door delivery until negotiations with the government are finalized.

Regardless of my opinion of this post, my opinion of SmartCanucks is that of a deals and shopping site, and nothing to do with politics. Hopefully its back on track soon, All Canadians should have to the door delivery or all Canadians should not. there shouldn’t be any second class mail citizens.
