Just a heads up to anyone looking at buying the Baby Einstein series, Disney has issued a recall on all of the Baby Einstein videos as they cause learning disabilities in children. Studies have found that children who watch these videos learn an average of 8 words less per day than children who don’t.

Thought I’d put this out there for parents to mull over. I personally have no kids so it doesn’t really affect me.
I thought they where being recalled because of false advertisment that they learn more. I realy like Baby Einstein video’s and so did my bilingual grandchildren.2 for 1 great deal.…:)

had the whole set. He also had the flashcards and baby books. He now reads at a grade 11 level. I wonder if perhaps the recall is indeed because of false advertising. I think different children respond to videos differently. My 4 year old couldn’t be bothered to watch any of videos or gives the books a passing glance. This is just my opinion, but I never let the one-eyed babysitter be the basis of my children’s learning system.
