Our awesome member Couponlady has spotted free movie tickets on the backs of General Mills Cereal boxes.

  • April redeem for a free movie ticket (some boxes have child tickets some have adult tickets)
  • May redeem for a free small pop and pocorn
  • June BOGO admission

(there are more months but none were listed on the forum as of yet)

What a great time to stock up on cereal deals and go to the movies free!

Whaaaaaat I’m totally on the prowl for these tomorrow!!! I loves me a free movie! Thanks for the heads up!

Good grief, Sally! Re: “some boxes are adults some childs”. I highly doubt that the boxes are actual adults or children — use an apostrophe to demonstrate the reference. It’s “adult’s” and “child’s”; in fact, one could argue that in this case, if the sentence were better structured, that it’s “adults’” and “childrens’”, but I digress. You need apostrophes; the boxes are not people.

Ugh. Get a life “Spell Checker.” He/She is probably just upset they don’t have any friends to go to a movie with.

Hey Spell Checker this is a good deal and has been around no matter what the spelling? Sally, is here to let us know about these deals. Who cares if the spelling is wrong as long as the information is correct and the deal is good.
So, spell checker correct this FCUK. Leave the spelling correction to editors for a book or school teachers for kids.

Just wondering in which theatres the tickets can be used. We have only Empire Cinemas here in NL.

I love these. When the cost of cereal is generally cheaper than a movie ticket, it makes a great deal. And if you don’t want to pay for snacks at the theater, just bring a baggie full of the cereal. Nothing says “movie snack” like CORN POPS, am I right? :P

Its ok guys, I realize who this “spellchecker” is and I feel sorry that they feel the need to be so negative and miserable. They also were in the corn pop fiasco as a health fanatic lol! I did make a few mistakes but it was also late at night and I was rushing. “Spellchecker” if you dont like my posts simply dont read them.

    Exactly Sally,
that is a good way of putting it if you do not like do not read. I see lots of things and do not comment. But, I like this smartcanucks. I get lots of ideas from this website and specials I would not find on my own.

Keep searching for those good deals.

They had this deal last year and I absolutely loved it! Does anyone know where the cereal was spotted?

I noticed that General Mills has different promotions and that its cereal seems to go on sale about once or twice per month, depending upon how many grocery flyers I check online. Most flyers begin on Fridays now.

I like the free coupons for viewing films I’d like to see but am not sure about spending money for a ticket. Everyone knows there are such films playing but do not want to wait for the DVD–big-screen experience still can thrill.

Keep up the good work sally, I guess Spell Checker doesn’t know about their ip address…I love corn pops haha.

    Spell Checker:

    Correct me if I’m wrong…

When you say “if the sentence were better structured, that it’s “adults’” and “childrens’”, should it not be “adults’” and “CHILDREN’S” instead? I do believe children is already the pluralized form of child and would therefore take on an “apostrophe s”

I’m going on the hunt for the free popcorn and pop coupons. I have some free passes that I got from iCoke but we all know that getting in is the cheap part, the snack bar is where you leave an arm and a leg. I could take my granddaughter, she loves the movies. I took her once before with this same offer and she was thrilled. Thanks for the heads-up.

The writing quality could be better but it isn’t THAT big a deal. The real problem is that so many posts are only there for the sake of something being posted, bumping the real deals pages back

Movie pass boxes are available in Ontario this week at Metro — $3.99, it looks like you can find them on Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms and Fibre1. Good luck… I am a fan of this offer myself and thanks Sally for starting this chain!!!

  17. chaddo

Corn Pops are a Kellogg’s product… so not included for this General Mills promotion.

Regular Cheerios for $1.97 at Walmart this week for those who eat them or those just looking for the cheap movie deal!

Now if only we had last year’s $1 off coupons…

    :)

  18. Ciel

Fortino’s only had the GM 460g of Honey Nut Cheerios with the children’s ticket or small treat offers. No other GM box brand had the tickets.
