Canadian Freebie: Movie Ticket for Toy Story 3 When You Purchase Toy Story 1 or 2

270x180_movietoy_story_3

To celebrate the opening of Toy Story 3, Disney has released Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in DVD/BLU RAY combo packs.  Inside each of these packs is a code for you to enter online to get a free pass to see Toy Story 3 in theatres.  The movie ticket is good for one admission on up to $11 in Canada.   Purchases must be made between March 23 and July 31, 2010 to be eligible.

If your movie library doesn’t have the Toy Story movies this is a great time to pick them up.  They are great movies and I’ve never know anyone to turn down a free movie.

Click here to go to the Disney site and see all the details.

Thanks to thetonster521 for this heads up.

Does anyone know what theatres are participating? Empire Theatres in Atlantic Canada tends to never be included in these sorts of deals….

  2. There is also a $5 printable coupon for each of these and they are on sale at Toy’s R Us for $29.99 on blu ray…and when you buy one you get the second 1/2 price!!! 2 blu rays for $35 after coupons and you still get the movie tickets!!! Great deal!

Could you provide a link to the coupon please? Thank you!

I havent even upgraded my Toy Story 1 or 2 to DVD yet………..lol! No Blue Ray here. No HDTV, no flat panel lcd or plasma either:S

  12. Abby says:

Yeah I haven’t upgraded my Toy Story 1 or 2 from VHS either, lol.

Just haven’t gotten around to it, but I will now!

  13. Grace says:

Draven79: that’s what I was trying to do, but it wouldn’t accept my codes OR I was in the wrong spot on the website. The explanation on the site is unclear.

Mind you, my VHS tapes go back to the original releases in the 90s, so maybe they aren’t eligible?

Grace – both VHS or DVD UPC codes should work. You enter your UPC codes in the Disney Movie Rewards code box (upper right corner). Once submitted correctly, it will take you to a coupon printing option. If you’re having trouble with the UPC itself, it’s best to cut off the small number at the start or end of the UPC. Keep trying until it works!

I went to Zellers and they price-matched Toys-R-Us with the flyer – I bought the first movie at $24.99 and they gave me the second for $14.99 (half off the regular $29.99 price). They also accepted my $10 coupons for each movie so I paid $25.18 after taxes for both! Not bad considering you get a free movie pass for Toy Story 3 with each movie. I already printed off the free movie coupons and it looks as though there are a variety of theatres that I can choose from.

abirdd – Thank you – you were exactly right. I was ignoring the wee tiny numbers at the beginning and end. When entered, it worked. Cheers!
