Some good DVD and Blu-Ray releases are coming out soon and are on a decent discount over at Amazon. Here are a few I’ve picked from the list of what’s available.
Farscape (the complete series) (DVD at $132.49 [list price $189.99], to be released on November 17
The old-time Disney classic on DVD, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (DVD at $23.99) with 40-minute documentary on Disc 1, to be released on November 24
The full list of top October and November releases can be found here, top Blu-Ray releases here, and new-and-future releases by week can be found here.

A few of these (Star Trek, Angels & Demons) are part of Wal-Mart’s pre-order @ $9.98. Even better deal if available to Canadians.

There’s a difference between being on sale and having a sale price (i.e. discount). Using Amazon’s list price as a basis of a sale isn’t the best indicator.
For example, Up will be available at most retailers for $18 (DVD) or $32 (Blu-Ray), which is significantly less that what Amazon has as it’s “sale price”.
Buyer beware.

Many of those movies are also available for $20 from iTunes. I have an apple tv so that makes things easier, but I used to watch them from my computer. Depending on your situation, iTunes can be an affordable option.

Some of these deals aren’t that great. Usually Wal-Mart has new release dvd’s for about $5 less on the day they are released. Usually they are around $24 but if you get them on the day they are released they are about $19.
